I wanted to provide a quick update and one clarification on Firmware
Updates.

1. *Update:* We have the fusion repeater working with Wires-X on the air
on 444.2125 currently, however, we are still working out a packet loss
issue (likely my home internet, or my connection method causing the issue,
not the equipment) before we proceed with scheduling the system to be
installed. You can hear that result in short disruptive gaps on the
transmissions currently. I suspect I'll have that resolved by mid this
coming week and will report back.

2. *Clarification/Correction RE: needed firmware updates to your Yaesu
Fusion radios:* While the repeater firmware was more recent, most radios
last received a released a firmware and DSP update back in April of 2016.
(Not a very recent release) Therefore, if you obtained your radio after
April 2016 or if you did a firmware and DSP upgrade after April of last
year, you very likely already have the latest versions. However, you
should still verify that.

Note: There is one upgrade document for DSP and one for firmware provided
on the Yeasu website per radio, and you can follow the methods listed at
the back of each to verify whether or not you already have the latest
firmware/DSP software. Each of them tell you how to verify the versions
after updates are done, which you can also use to learn how to check them.

More later,
73,

Rob KV8P
