    Had a nice huge long e-mail typed out, but the HTML filter ate it when I 
sent it from my webmail...  Soooo, here's the short version this time.  :-)

    I'm trying to get my soundcard interface hooked up to my Icom 
base/mobiles.  From the way I read the spec sheet, I should be able to pull 
AF Out from the "Data" socket.  However, I don't seem to be getting 
anything.  I read somewhere that someone else had the same issue with a 703+ 
(which is one that I'm having trouble with).  I've also tried a 910H and a 
7000 with the same results.  Does that AF Out only become active in packet 
mode on the newer rigs?  Using the port in the manner I describe seems to be 
done by others with success, but haven't been able to find out what radios 
they're using.

    I'm trying to avoid using the "Acc" socket as it's not the same between 
all my radios.  Would like to be able to make a single cable that works on 
them all if I can...
