I just got it. Here is the deal with a V-71. You have to be in sysop mode to 
activate the part to work the software. *_AND_* the rig control -> Hardware 
PTT needs separate serial port selected, com port, RTS/DTR enabled.The show 
stopper is you have to initialize the software to the rig before every use.
