DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS
TOLEDO MOBILE RADIO ASSOCIATION INC.
TMRA will be putting on a DIGI-class every month during its general meetings.
All are welcome to attend. You do not have to be a member of TMRA to participate.
(Note: This is about not D-STAR radio, this is digital software radio)
At each meeting we will talk about and demonstrate Digital software communications. Starting this Wednesday, March 11th there will be a demonstration of digital software and general information to get you started.
Our desire is to:
Educate hams about digital communications.
Improve Emcomm participation.
Get hams motivated about digital communications.
Getting started in Digital software Communications can lead to additional use of amateur radio spectrum which gives us a good reason to hang on to our frequencies.
You might be surprised at how easy it is to get on the air with digital software. There are efforts and designs geared for the two meter band, so even an entry level license can participate.
WHEN:
TMRA meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM. The first class/demonstration will be March 11th at 7:30 PM. We intend to make further adjustments for the time of the class depending on the participation.
WHERE:
The Electrical Industry Building 727 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio. The easiest directions are to take I-475 and get off at the buck Road exit. Turn North; go to the 1st intersection, Turn RIGHT. The Electrical Industry Building will be on your right about 2/10ths of a mile down the road. Talk in on 147/270 + with a 103.5 PL or push 1 2 3 using DTMF.
ALL ARE WELCOME. Hope to see you there. Thanks for listening.

Vice President TMRA
