A friend of mine is going through one of my STE-1 exciters and doing some upgrades to make it even work. I sent him 3 of the TTRT modules that plug into the front of the STE for frequency control and he's had all sorts of problems getting it going. Last week week he was seeing 600 mw out of it and then all of a sudden it dropped down to around 150 mw. having replaced everything in the pa portion of the plugin there is only one thing left and that is to rewind the output transformer which he will do this week. hopefully that will make it run the way it should. He's had to do so much to it in the replacement of transistors etc so hopefully when it gets back to me it will last for a bit.

However, as i said i had sent him over three of the TTRT plugins. Come to find out tht two of them, the "D" and "F" type modules, even though they are similar they will not work in the STE-1. Apparetnly they may have been for the STE-5 or something later than the STE-1. Always something. If anyone needs these two, let me know and we'll make some arrangements as they will not do me any good. I have a 2nd STE-1A that i don't think has had anything done to it so if your looking for one of these units, let me know.

This weekend i picked up a FFR-DPH Dual drawer storage shelf with a pair of the tuning heads in it. 2-4 mc and 8-16 Mc. Missing the power cord but otherwise appears pretty good shape. It's $175 plus shipping if anyone is interested. This is the model that preheats or keeps the units heated in some respect as i understand it. The plugins are for the FFR-49(V) receiver. Didn't buy the receiver though as it looked a bit crusty. Only have ever seen a picture of the DPH unit so seeing one live was quite a surprise. Unfortunately i didn't find anything else TMC related. Couldn't pass it up nor see it going to the dump so i saved it! No receiver here to use the plugins with.

Postage and packing is extra, not part of the price.
