His web page says: "AN/FRR-49(V)  This is the main manual for the receiver. 
It is also known as Navships 92786."  (Dial-up users beware, the site says 
it's 6 mb in size but it's really 60 mb, and the schematics in large size 
file is actually 14 mb, not 6.)

Speculation:  It may be that the NAVSHIPS manual is just the above manual 
with a different cover.
