Larry meant ebay.

Just so everyone knows: as manager of [TMC] it is my policy that such ** 
MENTION ** of ebay is not at all forbidden. For now, I would not like to 
see anyone advertising things for sale on ebay, here at [TMC]; but the kind 
of mention/suggestion Larry made is perfectly acceptable.

Note that I have no objection to members mentioning items they have for 
sale HERE, 1ST-before ebay. Don't run it into the ground.

Finally, I am interested in a PRIVATE survey by members about how they feel 
regarding a SINGLE mention here of SPECIFIC TMC-related items available at 
ebay. ("PRIVATE" means send your remarks to me, not to the list.)
