[TMC] GPR-90 Receiver is ailing

Thanks to all that have responded.

As pointed out by Mike and as shown in the GPR-90 instruction book, C-104 is
described as, "C104, A, B,: Capacitor, fixed: electrolytic, 40-40 mfd, 450
wvdc, B+ Filter, V14, CE-102" however, the actual component was a CDE
capacitor, part CC0410A 20 to 40 MFD 500 W.V, 20 to 40 MFD 500 W.V. and an
unused 15 to 20 MFD 500 W.V. UPN 10808. Hopefully the can I have ordered
will work.

On the other hand other list members have pointed that radial types are
available and can be placed beneath the chassis, as well as placing lower WV
units in series where the total capacitance is halved and the W.V is the sum
of the W.V. units. Equalizing resistors were also mentioned. I had wanted
to make it look like the orignal or at least as close as possible.

De-Oxit seems to be the contact cleaner of choice.

Thanks to all. I will post later the prognosis.
