[TMC] capacitors

Ok, here's the situation.  I need some 6uf @ 15 volts or 25 Volt ratings for 
an audio board in my TMC STE exciter.  I've not found regular electrolytics 
with those values.  However i do find "aluminum" style capacitors.  Whats the 
difference as far as affecting circuit operation?  Are they a suitable sub or 
should i stay away from them.  The caps i'm looking for are quite small but 
the ones on the board appear to be dried up/shorted/open.  Digikey has some 
with similar ratings but they are the Aluminum Electrolytic style.
