I worked but it's a stack of .PDF files and would eat a barge load of bandwidth downloading.

Have you tried saving them as a .JPG? They're smaller file size, it's not like your plans are complex enough to require the definition of .PDF

.PDF might be appropriate if you put the entire set of plans in one file.
