Just looked up the Wheaton Arts and their class offerings are nice. Going to look into attending one of the glass classes in either October or November. Thanks for the mention of the resource.

I've done some slumped torch work noodle glass in forged pieces. Noodles are flat ribbon of torchwork glass rather than rods which are tiny rounds. Vermillion red in the center of spread crosses being my most successful. I've messed with some different things as well so I CAN imagine what working with molten glass in zero G would be like. A nightmare! Maybe not so much if you have the right tools but soft let alone molten glass is really sticky and draws little strings every time you do anything. Take it out of the fire, touch it to/with ANYTHING, remove the noodle, etc. and it draws strings that stick to anything break and float around the shop. The inside of my forge has a puddle that is sinking into the floor and the porch is a mess.

It's fun though.

We have Wheaton Arts, which celebrates the glass industry in NJ.  One
friend, a former blacksmith, has switched to flameworking and turns out
lovely marbles.  It's tempting.

Imagine what it would be like to blow glass in zero G!
