[TheForge] Blacksmithing and Lent

I don't know about "The blacksmith", historically, but I've twice, for two
different pastors, made items for the Lenten season. One project was a set
of crucifixion nails. The pastor there had asked them to be actual size,
however, that could be anything from 6" to 12", if I remember Google
research well. I went with 8", because they showed up best for their
service.

The other was a set of nail rings for the parish staff to commemorate
crucifixion nails. The pastor had asked for horseshoe nails, since that was
what was familiar to him. But I introduced him to rosehead nails, which I
thought were more like hand-forged nails. He loved them and I think I made
a couple dozen.
