Hello

throughtout history has the blacksmith been tasked/employed/hired for 
metal work for the Season of Lent?
most cathedrals have ornate metal work, whether it be the candle holders
or the choir. This coming Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, did the blacksmith
have any role in observance of Ash Wednesday or any church
observance?
