Yeah, but on those work lamps, it nice to be able to drag the equivalent of a 100 watt bulb under a car with you and not burn the shit out yourself when reaching for a wrench ,or stand under one on the bench without setting your remaining hair on fire. Of course on the flip side some of the stupid led flashlights designed for marketing and not use will scar your retina. The problem with all of the flashlights now days is they are built with LEDs that will last for twenty years and an anodized aluminum case that will survive having a semi roll over it, but the Chinese can't seem to manufacture a decent single pull single throw push button switch that will survive more than a dozen uses. They could at least standardize the switch they use so I could order a quality replacement from digikey. As regards LED bulbs, another problem I have is the older I get the more wattage I tend to go for. Some of the cans I have in the house won't take a 75 watt without burning the house down and some of the circuits are limited as well. The LEDs are worth the bucks in those cases for me without any grumbling.

I am replacing the few places where I have traditional fluorescent bulbs in the shop with LED tubes now as well since my new shop is built. Can't stand the light from a fluorescent anyway and really can't stand the dark when it goes twenty or thirty below in the shop and they won't come on.
