i have a horde of the old incandescent ones that i use in cold/little used spots where lights are needed but used very infrequently as some of these bulbs have been in place since i was a kid and are 25+ years old
i have no problem using the new LED lights though it bugs me to put them in places where they don't see much use and they are still quite spendy and in some applications they dont works as well just bc they weigh so much and make work lamps sag
the old CFLs i hated i broke so many of those dam things bumping them and the lag in the light coming on in particular in a 45* shop just drove me bonkers and tended to lead to me leaving lights on so they would come up to full brightness where before i would turn a light on at a grinder or lathe or drillpress just when i was there using it

I am not a fan of the CFLs , but the LED bulbs are worthwhile.  I am replacing the few places where I have traditional fluorescent bulbs in the shop with LED tubes now as well since my new shop is built.  Can't stand the light from a fluorescent anyway and really can't stand the dark when it goes twenty or thirty below in the shop and they won't come on.
