A "widow maker" as opposed to  barber chair or kick back. A kick back is
what got me, the tree not the saw.

The woods are always dangerous and looking up is as important as watching
where you put your feet and paying attention to possible snake holes.

I only fired a saw up a very few ties since the accident and only to buck or
brush.

At the funeral today they said that a limb fell on him while he was still
working on the trunk, the tree hadn't fallen yet. A solemn reminder to us
all the look up and check out the tree before we start cutting. I have
friend that is a professional tree trimmer that cuts most of my fire wood in
exchange for hunting and fishing privileges on my farm. I've been cutting
wood for 50 years, but at my age I would rather let the pros do it.
