There must be good money in selling tools, just yesterday I was cleaning up some of my wife's grandfather's woodworking tools that have found themselves with us, and came across an 18" Mayes Bros. Tool Co. heavy aluminum level. "Fort Austin, MI" "Originators of the Aluminum Level".  Pretty dirty, but all the vials were full and worked fine except three of the window glass covers for the level vials were broken.  I did a quick search on the net and found a reference and  phone number.  Turns out the level is at least four years older than I am,  was "made prior to  1939", as the company moved out of Ft.Austin that year, but "IT IS STILL UNDER LIFETIME GUARANTEE"  "What can we do for you, including putting in new windows!!  I must be getting soft in my old age, but I only asked him to mail me three windows and I'd puddy them in myself.  78 years and they are both here and willing to make good!! Very impressive. 
So, how many of you think that 78 years from now, that cold chisel that you bought at harbor freight will be taken care of by some guy from China?  Yea,  I know.
