Um, I said 6' tall and  24" *diameter*, so that's

   12" x 12" x 3.14 x 72" = 32572 cu. in.

At 0.34# / cu. in, that's 

   0.34  * 32572 = 11074 pounds or

   11074 / 2000 == 5.5 tons.

Then guessed I was over-estimating dimensions by a little, so said
4.5 tons.

Yeah, yeah, but we're instucted to spell those ones "tonnes" IIRC.

When I got the 300# A&O hammer, I took the (badly stuck) tup out and
measured it -- calculated way over 300#.  Then I weighed it: 300# to
the nearest pound.  Answer?  It's a hollow casting.

Oh, right: we don't know if the Chinese tup is all steel or maybe
heavy-wall steel pipe filled with sand.  Or lead. :-o
