     I think you'd be safe testing it with 120 VAC because it wouldn't 
be any lower unless it were DC.  If it's from Europe or somewhere that 
uses 240 VAC, it will turn a lot slower or not at all.

     I just saw a message from Charles about checking the ID plate on 
the motor.  Excellent suggestion if you can find it . . . while I stand 
by my theory it won't be less than 120 VAC, it's possible it could be 
something oddball like 24 volts DC . . . and if it is you'll let the 
smoke out!  Were it me, I'd search for the ID plate and if I couldn't 
find it, I'd chance trying it at 120.  It doesn't work now unplugged, so 
if you burn it out, it will work just as poorly then! :-)
