Hi Terry, Guys!
Thanks for the article - my peanut gallery comment is:
Isn't that sort of what happens when you planish a sculpture to seal the pores? No matter how smooth to the eye or hand there are still micro surfaces on them and particularly with bronze it helps to water slide off the pc. I don't have specs on degree needed for water to move or any other tech data. Just thinking back on the few bronze and iron sculptures that I have worked on  and under a microscope you can see them.
