I still like to do hooks.  There are all kinds of hooks, but it is
something you can make quickly, even the shortest of attention spans will
watch you make a hook.  You can twist it if you use 1/4" key stock when you
show them how to make a $3 hook into a  $4 hook - or $2 to $3 if you are in
a poor crowd.  And, the kids can take home a hook and put it up.

I also make flint strikers and they are a really big hit.

Squirrel cookers are a big hit too, but I find them and nails tiresome.
