Goats wouldn't go well here...It's quite steep and the resulting erosion would be disastrous. We are hard up for flat space and have lots of mountain lions around besides. All gardening has to be in raised hard containers or surrounded 360* top and bottom by aviary wire and much of the top soil i carried up by the bucketful.
Besides goats would cut into my treasured junkyard space!
Jimsonweed...Colorful! Popular with the locals before the Spanish came who warned them about it. But didn't caution them that it was the white men themselves who would prove fatal.

Get goats. Bed pen with hay. Clean in 6 month intervals. By the time you need to clean, the compressed, pee and poo-laden hay is rank. It is heavy. It is difficult to fork. But when put into a pile and given a couple of months to cook, the result is truly nonpareil. ANYTHING will grow in this. Unfortunately, that includes the weeds, so you will be very busy cultivating. This year I had three absolutely humongous Jimson weeds sprout from the potato beds. They disgorged tens of thousands of scopolamine-laden seeds into ground. Next year should be interesting.
