I still kind of favor your original Red Green K car power system though.
That was purely classic solution in the blacksmith tradition.

Okayyyy.  I promised some blacksmithing-related pics in exculpation of my
OffTopic posts.  Some of y'all are justifiably scornfull of this cranky old
gear but some are at least marginally entertained by my efforts to cobble it
all together.
