[TheForge] Fatal acccident

I don't think I have ever seen a buffer with a guard -- 100 percent of what
I see sold NEW have no guards and the whole buffing wheel is exposed. Many
set ups include multi buffers so each wheel can be loaded with a different
compound. Grinders have guards and tool rests, buffers do not.

With or without the standard ~270* guard?

Granted, without a guard, you're taking your life in your hands.

I'm trying to understand what happened so as to be able to prevent a
recurrence.
