Speaking of HF tools, here's one that I've found to be reliable and
reasonably accurate.  I've just been using mine to test pre-heat temp
(~400F) for welding.  I may stop by the store for a second one.

It looks like the sale is on-line only, but sometimes the stores will honor
it if you bring the ad.

That freebie flashlight is also a good one.  I was just using one of mine.
It has a hook on the back to hang from a nail, and switches between
flashlight and "lantern" modes.
