Cad plating has been declining since about 1980-
I used to work for a speaker manufacturer in the 70's, and even then there were starting to be fewer and fewer plating outfits that would do cad, even in the industrial heartland- speaker parts in those days all came from chicago.
Aside from military contract work, there are very few places still doing cad.
I would totally believe that there was cad plated cookware, in the fifties and early sixties.
