[TheForge] Removal of Norton

I was thoroughly disgusted with Norton 360, which is thoroughly opaque to
the user (damned if I could figure out how to do anything with it -- even
so much as finding the main window), and which billed me twice what I
originally paid, for an automatic renewal I had not agreed to, and sent the
bill through after I specifically cancelled it.
I previously had become thoroughly disgusted with McAfee after it allowed
my computers to get infected TWICE, one time requiring me to pay $90 to
chase down the problem (using procedures they COULD have posted on-line,
which I could have done myself), and the other time getting a couple of
computer nerds I met to do the equivalent clean-up
I just purchased Bitdefender Sphere online, only to learn it was
backordered. So, I downloaded the free version of Bitdefender. In the
process of installing that, it deleted Norton. When the Norton deletion
window comes up, look closely for the "proceed" (or whatever) button, as
they hide it well!
