[TheForge] Removal of Norton

No, I can't even find the pesky files. Some stuff is easily uninstalled but
it seems the stuff that came factory loaded is well hidden. I'm betting
Norton and the others pay Microsoft well to make it really hard to uninstall
their . . . stuff. THEN there are the automatic MS8 updates that tend to
reload things I've managed to rid myself of. I did, on a day of lucidity
(read luck), figure out how to get Mcaffe to reinstall in the trash folder
and auto-dump itself. I sure wish I remember how I pulled that one off.
<sigh>

If I get frustrated enough I'm thinking I'll sic one anti malware program on
the others. Web root vs. Norton. At the sound of the tweep come out
SWINGING!

Frosty, have you tried to delete Norton while in safe mode? I had the same
problem several years ago and that was how I was finally to remove the
program.
