PF, could you be more specific about what you want changed? I take it that we are talking about the inclusion of emails attached to our responses, is that correct? Beyond that I don't know, I can guess, but it would be better to be specific about the changes you would like made to bring us from using a hand grinder to and electric one.
I personally am not a prolific contributor and have only provided something to stir the grey matter once maybe twice since I have been reading The Forge, I think I started to read it in 2002, before I was an ABANA member even. I have learned some amazing stuff here from the learner-ed and talented participants. It does require the time to keep up and I have fallen off and then on again, sort of like my excercise routine hahaha. I may not have a particular project or interest of what is being discussed and sometimes I have no interest, but I usually find something of interest to me at least once a week that I can put away for a rainy day.
I have to ask you PF; you actually find that you don't get any benefit from content of the emails on The Forge? You no longer find a process or engineering specs being discussed that are engaging enough to say to yourself, I didn't know that?
I am not the brightest guy and need collaborative thoughts of others to help me along at times. For which I am grateful for having "The Forge" and it's participants as a resource to help me stubble along. I guess I get more from The Forge than you. On the other hand if you are merely talking about presentation and form. Of course everything can be made better.
Dave - what percentage of ABANA members participate or contribute to "The Forge" - do we know? Maybe that is a question that should be brought up to the board via the communications Chair - Bill Clemmens.
If I misunderstood your post PF - I apologize in advance. I just found it an interesting comment:
"As an ABANA member on the far left coast, i don't see much benefit for my buck.
Respectfully, pf"
and it confused me as I am pretty sure that I have seen you post and respond many times on this very venue.
Sincerely,
Vince Nakovics
