Yeah, that is how I managed. Learned by getting stuck and waiting and
digging a lot. Even with the very capable offroad tires on my truck and
the mild 3 to 4 degree grade behind the house I have had to leave the
vehicle back there for a few days until things dried out. The 4Runner
also had moderately aggressive tires and had to spend the night by the
barn more than once. Carrying 100# sacks of corn on my shoulders when I
can't get the vehicles to the barn is an exercise in avoiding death by
absence of friction. The SLIGHTEST grade - like one degree and you are
slipping down the mountain.
When I hit that billion dollar lottery I will bury this place under
gravel. :)
