On anvil height, after raising my  500 Euro to mid knuckle to wrist as 
it was too low, I decided to observe a bit.

When I first set it at knuckle height (per multiple Internet sources) 
since I didn't know any better and I had to start somewhere anyway.

Then I got to looking, when I measured the old knuckle height, it was 
with ARM EXTENDED, but I don't hammer that way.  When I strike, my elbow 
is bent to some extent.  So I observed again and now it is more or less 
knuckle height when my arm is extended to the limit my hand would be 
when striking a hammer.

That may or may not make a lot of sense but it worked for me.
