I got the 450,000 from Peters post at 3:58pm.
It must have seamed reasonable as I have a Smith Equipment ST-625 which
can run up to 455,000 BTU/H consuming up to 240 cfh... doesn't quite
jive with the 2300 something BTU per cubic foot... but there you are.
All I know is that that monster works great fed with 2-100 pound propane
tanks. One will work but neither for too long. Kinda neat having a
Johnson Slot forge in your hand...

To max out any torch you almost need a vaporizer using toy tanks. Good
thing we usually don't heat for hours on end.
