I've been welding Damascus for years so I know how to make patterns. what I
don't know is how to bring it out on non-ferrous  material  do we acid etch
or polish the hell out of it or?

One way of pattern development is when the sheet is still thick drill
several holes not deeper than your finished size or cut or grind  grooves
then forge hammer or roll the material till it is flat again and the pattern
will come to the surface.
Or you can work the quarters hot on edge drawing it out and twist and
flatten.

I've taken a few quarters and got them to weld up. Now I'm making a mouse
out of them. And was wondering what is the best way to bring out any pattern
that I might have?
