[TheForge] pot

I think the intake manifolds on Cadillac's and maybe the old Lincoln
Zephyrs in the 30's & 40's were real enamel- they had a purple-ish hue
if my memory is working. That was 1956 and those cars were in an "old
car" junkyard.
There is a lady who makes enamel on copper medallions and the colors are
outstanding. She does it for a living and has a shop here in
Tallahassee. If she would be willing to do a demo for us or teach
classes at the conference I wonder if that might be worth a shot for
family classes?

totally different type of "enamel", with a totally different look.
the original black with speckles coffee pots, or stove doors, were
actual glass frit, baked in oven til they fused into one continuous
sheet of real vitrious enamel.
Car manifolds are sometimes "enamelled"- but its paint. POR 15 is
popular, and its often called enamel, but its nothing like molten glass.
But what puzzles me is how did this thread resurface?
Wasnt the original topic six months old?
