[TheForge] Is anyone on-line ?

They're now calling Staten Island a "barrier island".  Never though of
it that way before, but it makes sense.  Little Ferry got hit by a
storm surge that must have come up the Hackensack River (a tributary
to the lower Passaic River), 20 miles from the ocean.  I don't know
any details, just some news reports.  Staten Island is between the
ocean and the Passaic River.
