Monofilament gillnet. Gillnet fishing has gone out of fashion so
there are (or have been until recently) numerous sheds with olf
gillnet stuffed in a corner. Lasts several years so it's fairly
resistant to UV deterioration. A single gill net is big enough to keep
a home gardener on trellis material for years.

I suppose any net-type stuff with resonable strength. A 6' high wall
of pea or bean plants in a stiff wind puts a fair load on the net.

Same here. Some get half way up, then decline to attach themselves
further. Then I have to fiddle about with twine to keep them from
floping over.
