A 1" sidearm will bring 600-700 cu/in to welding temp if properly tuned. It
should have a tube about 8-9" long and a 0.045" mig tip jet or drill a
0.045" hole. I don't recommend drilling a hole in a pipe for a jet as the
longer length of the mig tip helps produce a laminar flow which is much
easier to aim down the center of the tube and induces intake air much more
efficiently.
