Bruce, I'd be the first to admit that we RCs have done some pretty 
stupid things in our history. (An accomplishment in which we are not 
unique I might add.)
The charges reflect much more on the misapplication of a poorly written 
Indian law that had intentions that were good.

  Just for the record I discovered a similar leak in a supply water pipe 
in our convent a few years back.
Tongue in cheek I suggested to our pastor that we set it up as a grotto 
and charge by the bottle. Poor man didn't have much of a sense of humor 
on the matter.
He just said "what plumber should I call".

At any rate. it is good for us to laugh at ourselves on a regular basis.

Having done similar things,I fully accept your explanation.
