I feel I'm going to wait till my computer geek friend gets here and see if 
he can figure out why I can't download a youtube, your slide show 
(inspiration for the " let it slide" line) open a .PDF file and similar, and 
see if he can get this stupid thinky machine performing somewhere near 
expectations.

Other than minor frustrations like this computer and not being able to find 
the new radiator cap I just bought for the tRUSTY old plow truck, I'm doing 
pretty darned well.
