I can't say that I disagree with a thing you said.

I will not trust the politicians with this.
This problem requires an honest effort and I do not feel confident that 
they are the folks to find it.

It is exactly forums such as this one,which has the diversity and 
problem solving fixation in which the solution needs to be hashed out.

I would enjoy having a cracker barrel discussion on this topic. I think 
we could keep it "clean" (free of partisan politics and name calling).
I am also confident that we can act as adults,respectful of others 
opinions,countering only with reasoned argument.

This discussion would require a temporary major change in policy.
I can think of only one other occasion of such,shortly after the attack 
on 9-11.

We can all chip in an aye or nay,but the weight of making the decision 
falls to Dave,and I will gladly support what ever he decides.
