Ow. Burning is one of the worst things I can think of to have happen to
anyone. Ironic for a smith, I suppose.

What sort of homebuilt was it? Why did it go smoking hole, pilot error
or was it the plane?

Man, and I thought I was having a horrible weekend, what with spending
Saturday at the range firing short-barreled M16s, a Miramount M60, AK,
Vtech, and a spectrum of suppressed side- and shoulder arms.

Best wishes to your lawyer and anyone else who survived.

On the political note, have any of the squeams started screeching for
bans on private aircraft yet?
