[TheForge] saw blade

A MIG weld is apt to be too brittle.
Try grinding opposed tapers in the band, overlapping them and gently silver soldering..works just fine.
I've even drilled a hole in the middle of a 1"plate..passed one end of the band through the hole, soldered the blade in place, and been able to cut a figure out of the center of the plate.
You can do it with a cheap air-propane plumbing torch.
