6061-T6 or 7075-T7 aluminum with a well anodized skin has been used for
years.
SS is subject to crevice corrosion around the case seals.
Ti AL4v is your best bet but quite a bit more difficult and expensive to
use.
Contact WHOI or Scripps for preferred manufacturer sources.
