Phlip,

I'm not sure what you're missing but what I'm seeing in the BioChar
process is an insulated outer container with an inner container
inverted to prevent air incursion.  That IS a retort with burning of
the gases, but it's a very simple way to configure it.  I'd like to
see plans for the thing, because I didn't get from the video where the
air enters.
