Terry et al,
Warfarin interacts with just about everything, not just vitamin k. For example, some studies show that cranberry juice causes an enhanced effect for warfarin and some studies show a reduced effect. The result is I'm told to stop drinking/eating anything that has cranberry in it. Of course, I ignore this advice since cranberry juice is good for your kidneys. Herbal candy/tea interacts with warfarin and must be avoided. I like black licorice more than taking the techs' advice. I could go on, but must get back to work.

hello;
if someone is on anticoagulation medication and does not have a good
understanding of what they are taking they should just stop taken the
medication and let nature take its course. let natural selection take
place.
if the anticoagulation monitoring group is not instructing the patients
they are monitoring about the medications they are taking, they are
incompetent.
i have been on rat poisin for the past 4 years because of the
head-on-collision. i would love to get off the rat poison but it would
be suicide. so i live with it. the foods that can interact with
antigoagulatant medication is long. basically, anything with vitamin k
in it is to be closely watched and adjusted for.
this is why pt/inr self-testing is not used as often as it could be in
the usa. patients are just plain too stupid to give a damn about their
own health.
