I think the Japanese use rice straw aches.
Heard of roach powder which is boric acid
Sand
Ground glass
Slaked lime which is from a fertilizer place
I use anhydrous boarax which comes from a chemical supply house not 20 mule
team that was boiled and then ground which still has water in it or absorbs
water.

Are there any ways to forge weld without borax? I've heard that mud dobber
nests make good flux, when crushed finely. Any ideas? also, where can one
find borax cheaply?
