[TheForge] burners

I'm looking to make a natural gas forge, most likely "blown" (as in with
a blower, not up... :-)).
I presume the same design for a regular propane burner would work except
the orifice would have to be significantly larger.
Just how MUCH larger? I suppose trial and error could discover that but
1 or more of you probably already know the answer.

I say "blown" as I only have standard residential pressure, and I have
heard you can "blow" a forge and achieve desired temps w/ low pressure
service in this manner.

my supply lines to the yet to be constructed forge (from the street) are
1". I'll probably use one of the large flex supply lines that is for a
tankless hot water heater, I think they are a full 3/4 or 7/8 inside.

What type blower would be best? I have a blower I used on the first
coal forge I had that could be used. it is electric and works well in
that application but changed it simply because I came across a vintage
blower from a buddy and it "looks better" attached to my coal forge.

Where would I introduce the forced air? Mixed with the gas thru the
ventura ? or just into the burner chamber?

If anyone asks "why" I'm doing this, the short answer is to be "legal".
My shop is completely enclosed and I have no location for a propane tank
outside. The fire marshal advised it was illegal to have cylinder
inside. Of course, acetylene is ok, but not propane.
