Jeez, I hope 3/16 keystock doesn't go away here. It's been several
years since I bought any but it's real handy. I only have 3 or 4
pieces left.
I've probably made 2000 little hooks from 3/16, both with nail/screw
hole and with drive spike since 1969. I recall that I was annoyed
then that it cost 10 cents a pound, more than the larger hot-rolled
shapes.

Only metalwork today was to improve my cider mill/press. Some of the
rotor knives were hitting on metal by maybe 0.005" (how long has that
been going on?) and a part made from threaded rod was hard to remove &
replace so now it's plain rod with cotter pins instead of nuts.
The winter project, once I get the last of the apples pressed and the
press stowed, is rebuilding an old floor drill press. Should be
entertaining and will, if successful, relieve my smallish bench model
of 1/2" and larger holes that are really too hard for it. Got a nice
big Jacobs chuck for it and a JT/MT adapter.
