[TheForge] OT -- East Coast correspondents -- how goes H. Irene?

Vermont got hammered pretty hard - many, many small towns are isolated 
because roads are washed out and no one can get in or out.  We lost at 
least one covered bridge, 3 people have died, and farm fields flooded.
My great grandfathers house has 3' of water in the first floor - that 
same house and my uncle that lives in it both went through the flood of 
1927 - that one had water up to the second floor!
