[TheForge] OT -- East Coast correspondents -- how goes H. Irene?

There was a contra dance in Harrisburg. When I looked at the
projected path of Irene, I decided it would be a LOT less stressful to
go contra dancing! Actually, that was Friday night. Saturday I went
to the Civil War Museum, a worthwhile stop while in Harrisburg, but
not something to go out of your way for.
I fared well. The power went out so I got some flooding in the
basement -- maybe 1" deep. I'd bought a generator last year, and that
paid for itself because it allowed me to get the sump pumps and shop
vac working, and later to run the refrigerator. Power's back on now
after about a 36-hr lapse.
